As far as snacks go, there is nothing much better than a big platter of chips and dips. And as much as I love salsa; guacamole truly has my heart. The buttery flavor of ripe avocados is just so dreamy, and this guac is super easy to make
And homemade guac is 100x times better than prepared varieties you’ll buy at the store. This is truly a dish that is best when fresh!
This Rustic Guacamole is such a crowd pleaser. I’m always asked to make this for family get togethers and cookouts, and I never have leftovers. It’s packed with creamy avocado, tangy lime juice, bright & herby cilantro, and a hint of spice from serrano pepper.
This recipe calls for diced avocado to keep it chunky, but feel free to mash it if you prefer a smoother dip.
Rustic Guacamole
A beautiful creamy dip loaded with avocados, lime, and cilantro.
Ingredients
- 2 avocados, diced
- 1/2 cup tomato, seeds removed & diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp onion, minced
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp cilantro, chopped
- 2 tsp serrano pepper, seeds removed & minced
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
Mix all in ingredients in a bowl. Dunk a chip into the guac, insert in mouth, and bliss out.
Notes
Feel free to adjust amounts of serrano, cilantro, and salt based on personal flavor preference. You can store leftover guac in the fridge with plastic wrap pressed over the surface to keep air out, but it is best consumed right after making.
