When it’s hot outside, nothing is as satisfying as a citrusy beverage. I do love boozy drinks, but through 2 summertime pregnancies, I gained a massive appreciation for light & refreshing mocktails.
This Lime Mocktail is super easy to make, and has an incredibly fresh lime flavor with just a little kick of heat from the chili rim.
Lime Mocktail with Chili Lime Rim
A light & refreshing drink perfect for a hot summer day.
Ingredients
- 1 oz. simple syrup (store-bought or homemade using equal parts sugar and hot water)
- 2 oz. fresh-squeezed lime juice
- Ice
- Lime-flavored sparkling water
- Chili Lime Seasoning (from Trader Joes or Tajin brand)
- Limes, sliced for garnish
Instructions
First rub a slice of lime around the edge of your glass, and then dip the edge in the Chili Lime Seasoning.
Next, fill the glass with ice.
Combine 1oz simple syrup with 2oz of fresh-squeezed lime juice and pour over the ice.
Top that mixture with Lime-Flavored Sparkling Water and garnish with limes.
Notes
This recipe is written booze-free, but adding a little tequila or vodka is never a bad idea. Just saying...
